The short version
The Vibe Summit seating system is three separate pieces. If you have lost or damaged only part of it, you usually do not need to buy the complete bundle again.
- Summit Seat Base — the mounting plate that stays bolted to your kayak. The seat frame clips down onto this.
- Summit Seat — the seat itself, which attaches to the base.
- Summit Perch — the raised perch that sits on top for sight-fishing and stand-assist. Optional.
Work out what you actually need
Look at your kayak before you order:
- Is the mounting plate still bolted into the boat? If yes, you do not need a new base. Buy only the seat, and the perch if you lost that too.
- Lost the seat and the perch, base still fitted? Buy the Summit Seat (choose the Without Base option) plus the Summit Perch as two separate items. This is cheaper than the complete bundle, because the bundle includes a base you already have.
- Lost or damaged everything, or starting from scratch? The Complete Summit Seat and Perch Bundle is the best value, because it includes all three pieces together.

Which kayaks does this fit?
The Summit seating system is designed for the Vibe Cubera 120 and Shearwater 125. The Summit Perch on its own is also compatible with the Summit, Hero 2.0 and Switchback seats.
If you are not sure which seat your kayak was built with, send us the HIN from your hull and we will confirm the correct parts before you order.
A note on seats lost on the water
A seat or perch that goes overboard is not covered by warranty, since it is a loss rather than a product fault. We can still help you replace it with the correct part, and buying only the pieces you are missing keeps the cost down.
