What is the kayak delivery process?

Overview

Kayaks are oversized items that require special handling and delivery services and take special handling to make the long-trek to your delivery location. We use a wide-range of carriers from UPS Freight to specialized oversized freight courier service providers.

How does courier shipping work?

Courier delivery is the most cost-effective delivery method for kayaks. It can take up to 15 days to consign a driver depending on where you live in the country but it saves you a lot of money and greatly reduces risk of damage. The process is as simple as:

  1. Driver Consignment
  2. Kayak Pickup
  3. Driver Calls You to Schedule Delivery
  4. Kayak Delivered
  5. Inspect Kayak for Damage (see Kayak Inspection Instructions) 
  6. Sign and Accept Delivery

How does premium kayak shipping work?

Premium kayak shipping is a white-glove, expedited service that minimizes touch points and ensures the fastest, most reliable transportation methods. While it costs substantially more than courier delivery, you'll receive your kayak much faster after ordering. The process is the same as above however it only takes a few days for the courier to pickup your kayak from one of our warehouses.
